Shreddies Search for Goodness.

Post Shreddies believes that there is Genuine Goodness in every Canadian. After all, we are known for being polite and kind (we do say sorry, a lot–sorry) – it is who we are as a nation. Why not celebrate that?

It is the very reason that Shreddies started the “Search for Goodness”, a national search to recognize individuals for their selfless commitment to their community.

This is the perfect chance to nominate a person that you think falls under this category. Canadians can share their stories on www.searchforgoodness.ca! Last year, there were 80 nominations and an estimated 1,700 votes from people all across Canada. That is a lot of Canadians doing good! You can submit your nominations until May 10, 2015.

Do You Know Someone?

Is there someone you know that goes above and beyond to help someone out? Or maybe you know someone who is willing to do anything for a good cause. These individuals often do all of this without asking for any recognition in return.

If your answer is yes, then you can help  in the search. Shreddies wants to share these stories of goodness with the rest of Canada to celebrate and inspire others.

Last year’s winners were sisters Julia and Emma Mogus. They are the perfect example of Canucks who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of others. They were featured in a national advertisement that told the story of what they do for their community and in remote communities in Northern Ontario.

What Are You Waiting For?

I’m sure that by now you’ve thought of someone who is deserving of recognition. I know that often times, they are too modest to accept it.

We have always been taught to give freely without expecting anything in return. But, I’m happy that Post Shreddies is giving someone the credit they deserve because that person changes the lives of so many on the regular.

For more information and to submit your nomination and story, head over to searchforgoodness.ca. If you want the latest updates from Shreddies, visit them on Facebook, here.
